The Elk Sign Express was originally established as the Elk Sign Shop in 1915. It was purchased by its current owner Roger White in 1983. It was First located on Elk Street in Albany. In 1991 we set up a retail store on Central Avenue in Albany under the dba Sign Express. In 1997 we moved out of Albany to the Route 9W location in Glenmont, New York in the Cumberland Farms Plaza.
In May, 2013 Cumberland Farms notified us they were expanding their store into the space we occupied and we would have to leave. We then closed our retail store, scaled back our activities, and are currently home based locally.
Modern communications, web site locations and social media make it convenient to handle most orders today by phone, fax or internet. While we do not receive clients at our home we are available to meet with clients when needed, at their office or place of business or at other mutually convenient public sites. Delivery and pick up of orders are also handled this way or shipped by common carrier. Using these methods make it possible for us to concentrate on existing clients and local businesses and organizations and to provide a high level of quality, service and value.
Over the past 10 years we have added many new products and services such as Full Color Business Cards, Brochures, Rubber Stamps, Carbonless Forms and Invoices, Proposals and other Business Forms. We can custom design or reprint from your original. This results in tremendous advantages to our customers who can now save time and money by consolidating their shopping at one location and be confident of high quality, consistent results.
Despite the evolution to more technologically advanced marketing methods and social media, signs and printing remain among the most effective and affordable advertising options.
